Thanks for the suggestions, I havn't read any of them. I tend to find authors I like and devour everything available. With a few to choose from I can(will) spread it around some. Looking at the bookshelves I can see all of Brin's, Bear's, and Bedford's, as well as Ken MacLeod's and of course Kristine Smith. All read in the last 3 years as well as various others.

I understand the busy life thing, I work full time 45 to 50 hours a week, school one night, astronomy club, horseback riding once a week, starting a small business in my spare time, read a novel a week at least, etc.
