And 8.5 hours later...
Oct. 30th, 2004 06:52 pm...electricity returns as darkness falls, meaning that not much useful got done today. Switched out a smoke alarm. Set up the new wireless doorbell, but didn't install it because I wanted to make sure that there were no conflicts with the cordless phone. Got the fireplace going for the first time this season, a necessary thing considering that the temp in my office dropped to 63F. At least we were able to keep the living room comfortable.
After the power returned, I was able to determine that there were no conflicts with the phone. Yea.
Mother Nature did a good job of pushing the leaves into piles against the fence. Maybe tomorrow we'll give the new leaf vacuum/grinder thingie a whirl.
The excitement never stops when you have a house...

Power Outage

Date: 2004-10-31 02:22 am (UTC)Well...we had issues there. The tech writing class pretty effectively derailed work on J5. And the house, frankly, took up way too much time. The work needed to be done, and the house looks 100% better, but that was a couple hours a night that I should have been writing. Maybe now that the weather is getting colder and the outdoor work will be curtailed, I can make a dent in the book.
