First official night of Wiscon. Skipped the GoH readings. Had dinner with Pat Murphy, Eileen Gunn and her friend ?John? (you should ask, Smith, you really should), and Nisi Shawl and her mom. Ate at the Orpheum, a restaurant in a theatre...except that we ate outside. It was better than we thought it might be. Really quite good.

Going to work now. Only a thousand or so words today. Not enough.

The Orpheum has (or at least used to have) a really awesome lobster roll (at least it's awesome if you like lobster).

I didn't see that on this menu. I do like lobster, so I might have tried it. I had a walnut? breaded walleye sandwich that was so flaky and light. Other folks really liked their food as well, and we had everything from duck and pork tenderloin to prime rib sandwiches.
