Don't want summer to end

Out on the deck. Temp hi 70s. Breeze. A few clouds. Sun on its way down. Salad and leftover pizza. Glass of wine. Watching the pups play.

Why is it late August already?

We're supposed to have an open house. Looks like I'll be tending a bonfire in the back yard, trying to keep everybody warm.

Our Saturday forecast is 72F with mixed clouds/sun. Then it goes down to the 60s. I hope the rest of the tomatoes ripen.

I bought seeds for fall lettuces. Trying to look on the bright side.
