It's sunny. After today, according to the weatherfolk, the sun will go away for extended periods and There Will Be Rain. This is expected to continue off and on through the week.

Oh yes, and below average temps as well. Until the weekend, at which point it could hit close to 90F.

I hope they're wrong. I hope the bulk of the rain stays south, or peters out before it gets here.

Oh well, off to it...

Push the rain north, and west. We really could use it up here!

An acquaintance who farms various berries says they've irrigated more this year than at any time since 1988. Yow.

I wish I could.

40% chance of rain tomorrow, 30% on Wednesday. Thing is, the prediction area covers such a big area that I don't know who is supposed to get hit--north of the city? South?

Wasn't 1988 the Hell Summer? I remember one summer where temps hit over 100F for several days running. Brutal dry winds from the SW every day. I learned what the term "crazy from the heat" meant. It was like a heavy hot blanket that you couldn't kick off. And I didn't have central air at the time.

Yup. At least this time around we haven't gotten the heat to go with the drought.
