And then there's King
May. 30th, 2009 11:43 pmHe came home with kennel cough. Again. I contacted the kennel where he and Gaby stayed and let them know, and the tech who emailed me back apologized and let me know all the things they do to try to prevent transmission, and that even then it doesn't always work. I realize it's the doggy version of con crud--you're in a new place, your schedule upended. Maybe you're not sleeping right. So you're stressed, and susceptible, and next thing you know...
King's pretty much his Kingly self, except for the cough. He had 5-6 short bouts of that telltale retching hack today, which has been the most so far. It is indeed likely that the vaccine blunted the severity. I hope it doesn't last more than a couple more days.
Gaby may have suffered a very slight case. I heard a few mild hacks yesterday. Nothing today. But she is Miss Zippy Whizbang, and therefore immune to such onslaughts.
They're both sleeping now.
