Taste memory
May. 17th, 2009 11:42 pmSo. Over the course of Medical March, I had one test the prep for which involved drinking something vile. Really vile. "Please don't let me throw up" vile.
And now, as I lie here typing, I can taste that stuff. I do, every so often. Not actually, of course, but the memory is almost as bad. It's as if it traumatized my taste center, or something.

You would think that all those health professionals who mount those massive advertising campaigns to get us to have regular colonoscopies might recognize that that stuff is a STRONG disincentive to repeating the experience?

But. Doc said next one is 10 years out (yea!, and ::knock wood I don't need one in the meantime::), so maybe they will have an entirely new test by then.
