Hawks are up 3-0 with three minutes to go in the 2nd period.

The Calgary crowd is quiet, the Flames have had 31 shots on goal with nothing to show for it, and Khabibulin is living up to his nickname (The Bulin Wall).

Don't mind. I'm just sitting here with my head in my hands...

Update: HAWKS WIN!! 4-1. Their first winning playoff series since 1996, when some guy named Roenick still played for them.

Khabi had 43 saves.

What's funny is that there was a poll on the Hawks site at the start of the series, asking folks to pick the number of games they thought it would run. I voted that the Hawks would win in 6. And they did.

Same thing that always seems to happen in the post season, alas: they were lazy and complacent, and it cost them. By the time they figured out "Oh, shit, it's the playoffs, we'd better step up our game!" it was too late. That, and Hiller (the Ducks goalie) made a pact with the devil or something, because he is HOT right now.
