Can I interest anyone in some rain?

Huge temp swing yesterday as a cold front moved through:

In Highland Park the mercury plunged 28 degrees from 70 to 42 in just 14 minutes .

And it's raining again. Rumors of sunshine this afternoon, with a little bit of a warm-up. Then another cold front moves through tomorrow, with even more rain. I was amazed to see that the basement was dry this morning. I think this is because the ground is no longer frozen and can take up the water more quickly.

Both pups are sound asleep. King had a traumatic time of it. Even distant rumbles of thunder sent him searching for comfort--he kept trying to crawl in my lap, and hurried after me every time I went into another room.

Did have one sign of Spring last night as my throat started itching. It still itches this morning, as does the left side of my nose. Yeah, allergies!

Grocery shopping needs doing. Then I am staying put.

We got 6.5" Friday night. It was also a quite impressive thunderstorm.

Tank was quite distraught, the calming pill we gave him took quite a while to take effect. When it did, he fell asleep in Kim's arms. Cute.

We got much less than that, thank heaven, or we'd be flooded. About 1.5". Could get another inch or two tomorrow. We don't need it.

I don't know why King hates thunder like he does. The faintest rumble, and he's trying to crawl in my lap.

Tank just starts panting and pacing. The reaction he prefers from us is to go into our bedroom and collapse on the bed or lie on the floor on Kim's side of the bed. That's where he usually sleeps and it's his safe place.

He wants us in the room, though.

If he's settled down and we go to another room, he will follow us, panting and pacing.

We had about 5" or 6" last Saturday. We are finally above average for rainfall for the year. I'd like to ship some to Central Texas, though.

If you have rain to spare, we’d love to get some more in California. Preferably over the reservoirs, since it wouldn’t add much to the snowpack right now...

We could get an additional inch or two tomorrow. Believe me, if I could send it your way...
