Rain, rain, rain...

Temps in the high 40s. Still raining. I can hear it rattling down the gutters and bouncing off the roof. If April showers really do bring May flowers, I anticipate blooms the size of dinner plates.

Buried my sorrows in baking. Just my usual banana bread, this time goosed up with chopped dried apricots and walnuts as well as the usual additions of allspice and black pepper. Haven't tried it yet, but it looks and smells good.

Pizza for dinner. Wine, a 2005 Pioja Piola Cabernet courtesy of Mankas. It's a pizza kind of day.

I have the Cubs game on mute. It's sunny in St Louis. Damn.

Update: Still raining. Checking online for largish canoes and smallish motorboats.

I wore shorts outside yesterday. Wore them this morning. Even used the A/C yesterday.
