We had a cold front push through here today too. In fact I laid a few logs in the woodburning stove today about 1pm...something I usually don't do until about 5pm when I venture downstairs from the warmer upstairs office. Gah, indeed!

I still have about half a face cord left from last winter. I moved some of it onto the small rack on the deck, where it's an easy grab from the back door. Need to have the chimney cleaned, then set up the glass doors I bought a month or so ago. Lay in a few firestarters, and I'll be ready.

The previous owners told me we could heat the living room and a lot of the house with the fireplace.

But not until we get that chimney swept, I guarantee you...or so their stewardship of other parts of the house suggests....
