Will you folks who are getting Dreamwidth accounts be leaving LJ?

Update: I think I'll wait and see what other folks do, and whether Dreamwidth offers an improvement over LJ. I like LJ, and I'm pretty comfy here. And truth be told, I am considering going the Wordpress route and having my official blog installed within my website. But one step away is still one step away. I'll probably go where most folks go, just because that's where all the joyful noise will be.

Not likely, barring a mass migration that makes LJ redundant, or seriously stupid policy changes.

Probably not. I'm just hedging my bets.

Not for the forseeable future, I just like to have options. And I do have some friends who will be giving up LJ, so my having a Dreamwidth account will let me keep up with them.

I don't see the point really. People jump ship for the coolest new toy be it twitter, facebook, myspace or dreamwidth. I am sure there are others out there but who really cares. The people that you want to keep up with will always find a way to do so even if they move to something else. Use whatever makes you feel comfortable.

In all likelyhood, I'll just crosspost. For me, DW's mostly a combo of insurance and curiousity.
