Cable guy was scheduled to show up between 10a/1p. He showed up around 10a--15 minutes later, the HD box was installed. CG also hooked up my old DVD/VCR so I can watch my tapes.

First I watched Food Network. I never knew Ina Garten had freckles.

Then on to WTTW. When did Jacques Pepin start looking so old?

I am now utterly spoiled.

I hear hockey is one of the best things to watch in HD. You'll have to let me know if that's true. tappu has promised me a new TV with next year's (Third Baby EnhancedTM) tax refund and I'm curious if it's all that.

I'm boggled enough by the change from ancient console tube TV to LCD. HD should really be an experience.

It is pretty wow. I just need to remember to turn it on-- because of the way my TV works, it isn't automatic.

Like I said, the LCD is already so much better than the ancient tube that it would be easy to forget about the HD option. But if I can't see Ina Garten's freckles, I know I haven't turned it on.
