Sorting through the junk

I've been digging through old files and piles, sorting stuff in preparation for compiling tax info and just cleaning up. Shredding. The oldest thing I found? A preapproved credit card application from 1988. That's a couple of recessions ago. I don't even think that bank exists anymore. I have no idea how I wound up saving that.

*mutter* Where did all this junk come from?

Gaby is staying in the living room when I run the shredder, but King fled to the far end of the house as soon as I started.

King is smart. Best be sure Gaby's far from the shredder too. Dogs can lose their tongues in them.

Good luck with junk control! I'm fighting a losing battle on that front.

It wasn't on my radar either. But this summer they had an article in the paper, and it's surprisingly common.
