King is a complete coward. He's edged over to me in a roundabout way, and is now sitting at my feet and leaning against me. He needs contact. Because the sky is rumbling and the Evil will get him if he's not careful.

It was the oil change and the illuminated license tags that got to him...

The tire rotation.

He hates that.

I was compiling receipts and stuff for the accountant today, and came upon the vet bills. The last batch of lab results.

I had retired Mickey's icon, but I think I will reactivate it.

Poor boy! How does Gaby handle storms?

(You're undoubtedly tired of my constant requests for your rain to come down here, but...WANT RAIN!)

Gaby starts sometimes when it thunders, but overall she is much less sensitive than King. King hides when I use the coffee grinder. Gaby will lie on the kitchen floor right next to my work area and sleep through the noise.

The only time that noise appeared to get to her was her very first night in the house. The coal train came rumbling through after midnight, and when that happens the entire house shakes. Gaby sat and trembled. I brought her up on the bed with me, and she settled down and slept through the night.

You are more than welcome to our rain. We received a month's worth in 8-10 hours yesterday--probably about 2 inches. Since the ground is still frozen, the water pooled everywhere. Then temps dropped overnight, and this morning the backyard is an ice rink.
