Just watched The Bourne Ultimatum.

I heart Jason Bourne.

And there's going to be a Bourne 4. Although some folks are taking exception to that decision, and I can understand their reasoning. Ultimatum's ending was solid and satisfying.

I love that series. I have read the novels and for once, I prefer the movies. I can understand the reasonings of those who don't want more, but I have been dying for another one. For me, they are what the James Bond series should be. Thank you for posting this as you made me and one of my best friends VERY happy!

You're welcome!

I like it a lot. I guess there are story possibilities considering that Nicky is still out in the cold, as is David/Jason. I wonder why they're blowing off the Eric van Lustbader--I swear the first time I saw that name, I thought it was a joke--story. The few reviews I read indicated that it was a Ludlum-like storyline.

The main reason these movies work is because you care about Jason and his quest. I hope the people working on 4 don't forget that.

Van Lustbader started life as an author of post-apocalyptic fantasy-martial-arts-opera (The Sunset Warrior series) - as such, it was pretty good reading for a 17 year old. Later stuff - rather more soap-opera-with-ninja. YMMV, as always.

Bourne is teh awesome. It took over for Bond when Bond went wonky...and then dictated what the Craig Bond would look like. :)
