He's gone.

One icon to be retired.

Okay, as one parent to another, lets go through the steps.
1) You raised him, right, didn't you?
2) He's met someone nice, didn't he?
3) You trust him to do the right thing, don't you?
4) He'll make you proud, won't he?

Here, drink this (hands you a real schnaps, not that nasty stuff the kids drink full of sugar and "flavor", this is booze without question and will knock you on your heels if you don't respect it).

To a life well lived, out of the garage SAULT!

My Baby!

::sniffle::

Meanwhile, Kuro is feeling his oats. He's already hanging his posters on the other side of the garage.

And you are allowed to keep his picture in the family album, including displaying it on the wall (or in an icon) if you want.

We're not likely to come checking to see if he's still living in the basement...er...garage.

He'll always be your baby.

You don't have to retire the icon if you don't want to!

The cat in the icon above is dead 8 years. Doesn't stop me from occasionally putting her face on the internet.

Amazing how attached we get. I still miss my Jeep, that I gave up six years ago, and every time I see one of the right model/color driving around, I wonder if it was once mine.

I sold my old Toyota Corolla (my first-and-only stick shift) to a co-worker when it was 13 years old. I was in the Atlanta office, co-worker is in Mississippi. She then sold it to someone there, who transferred to Houston. And 5 or more years after I'd sold it, another co-worker sent me a picture of it sitting in a Houston parking lot.

It was nice to see the old thing, still in service. *sniff*
