More lemminghood

I am kaysea14 on Twitter. I have no idea how to find people because they've disabled the Find People function. So.

A question--do you protect your updates, or make them public?

Mine are public.

I'll get on board with you as soon as the search feature comes back.

You're on this too? Wow.

Which Search function are you waiting for?

It seems like the find people search has been gone for a while. Pretty much everyone I'm following I got to via them either being followed by someone else or being mentioned in someone else's twitter. If there are people you know are on there that you want to find, a lot of the time searching Google for their name and the word twitter will find them for you.

Oh, and I think public is usually the way to go, unless you're planning on tweeting things that're only intended for friends/family.

Oh, and if you do know someone's twitter handle, you can just go to http://twitter.com/theirnamehere and hit the follow button.

Thanks!

I can't believe I'm doing all this stuff. Between Twitter and Facebook, it's like living on a 24/7 conference call.

I hit the link and got Page Doesn't Exist.

I hit the link and got Page Doesn't Exist.

You have to replace "theirnamehere" with the person's actual twitter handle.

yeah--make it difficult. ;-P

How do you add people? I can't do it by hitting Add because the Twitter search function isn't working. If I visit their page, I don't see a way to add them, unless I'm missing something.

Duh--Follow button.

Yes, the follow button. Also, look at who friends of yours are following.

RE: public or private updates--I have it set to approve followers. I inherited a Web-stalker a couple months ago, and I see no reason to make said stalker's work easier.

Added you :-) http://twitter.com/TezMillerOz

A month or so ago, I switched from Public to Protected, because I was getting spammed. eg You mention shopping in a public entry, and Shopping profiles start adding you.

Have a lovely day! :-)

That's good to know. One reason to not mention stores by name, as well.
