Winter morning

The suction thermometer attached to my front window reads around 15-16F. Light snow is falling. Wind chills are still frigid, but things will warm. I need to restock the wood boxes--an evening fire is so pleasant. Must get a proper ashcan today, and some firestarter bricks. The usual grocery shopping.

The dogs are sleeping. Still another hour or so to go before they're up and about.

Yikes! I can't believe that the previous owners did that to you.

Our flue is broken in a closed position. I just haven't bothered to get it fixed yet.

They were anxious to sell the house. Looking back, I probably should have pursued legal action.

I'm still adjusting to the fact that it was 21 years ago. I never thought I would be in this house this long.
