I think I'm about halfway through packing. The nice thing about driving is that I don't have to worry about how I'm going to fold/roll up the trouser suits and shirts. I can just tuck them in a couple of hanger bags and lay them flat over the back seat. That leaves me time to go through the toiletry bags and dump old shampoos and other little bottles, souvenirs of hotels past. Organize everything. Make sure I have the cords and chargers and batteries and all the other techno-stuff I need for the notebook, camera, PDA, and cellphone.
I polished some sterling silver jewelry that I hadnt worn in years, and tucked that away. Picking through the makeup will be tomorrow's task
Please don't let me forget my maps, or all the brochures and Festival lit and tickets and such.

The first task of the day (after coffee) is to pack up the puppies' gear. I dug out an old soft-sider to serve as their kennel case--need to pack their food, toys, and whatever they're going to sleep on. Mickey has his pillow, but to King, pillows are for annihilating. Since they'll be rooming together, it will be interesting to see how that goes. I may scrounge around for some old blankets, just to play it safe.
I feel like I'm sending kids to camp. All I have to do is ink their names on everything and hunt down batteries for their flashlights.

LOL! And they're much-loved kids whose mom will undoubtedly check up on them. :-)
