Decluttering

ksmithEveryone seems to be doing it. I was a lemming in this case--over the past week, I have tossed magazines and catalogs, cleaned the kitchen and bedroom. Found some nice expandable bamboo cutlery trays and a tray with knife notches at Sears.com, and have now organized the cutlery and utensil drawers. Received another box today, which I think contains a recycling tower, a vertical set of bins with doors to keep out curious puppies.
But you know what has me absolutely giddy? My company will be holding a one-day recycling drive in a couple weeks during which they will accept old computers and other electronic items from employees. I have two desktops with monitors, a laptop, at least one printer, a CD player, an old turntable. Lots of stuff, iow. A good chunka junk. This weekend, I will pop the cases and remove the hard drives, put the shells in a pile, and hope for no blizzards on the day in question.
Now I need to find a place that takes household solvent/chemical waste...
