ksmith: (guilty)

Yes, still working on book. Because the &**^^%$#$#@ won't wrap up. I know what the ending is. I know how to get there. But my days of simply being able to close the door and shut out the world are no more, and I learned it the hard way with this book.

And we're under Winter Storm Watch to boot. Could have a foot on the ground by tomorrow afternoon, to add to the 4 inches or so that are already there.

Gone again...

I'd send you productivity vibes, but mine seem to have vanished for the month... so, sympathies instead.

Yanno, I've managed several 18-hour days recently, with my best production being about 7K. I usually hit about 3-4K/maybe 20 pages before brain starts wandering around the room riffling through old magazines and gazing longingly at the telly. And it is becoming evident that I am now a morning writer. Except I have to spend mornings at Day Job for foreseeable future. As I said, learning experience.

And I swore it wouldn't happen again. That's what hurts.

Ouch... I'm sorry to hear it. I'm very much a morning writer too... I've been known to slip off to my favorite cafe with the laptop as soon as they open at 6:00 a.m.

Heck of a good idea, Alyx. I wish I could join you. Why does life get in the way so much?

It is a sometimes excellent feature of my life that I am not only a horrifically early riser but married to someone who sleeps in. I might as well go to the cafe!
