And during a discussion of Blago's arrest, a co-worker, in speaking to me, referred to him as "your governor." S/he doesn't live in Wisconsin or Indiana, so I assume s/he is referring to the fact that he is a Dem. I assume from this that s/he is a Republican.

Wish I'd had the wit to retort that if the wheels of justice grind as one expects they will, My Guv will join His/Her Guv as a guest of the Feds, but I never think fast enough.

My brain does that, too. Usually an hour after the cut would have been useful.

Maybe that's one reason why we write. We always get the last word.

It is good to be able to go back and edit the conversation. And have the changes _stick_.

Party affiliation has nothing to do with it. Power and money corrupt both sides.

I am glad, however, that I voted for the Green candidate in the last gubernatorial election.

IIRC, I did vote for him. No excuses except that I really didn't start paying close attention to state stuff until this year. And I couldn't stand Barr Topinka. And, while some may feel differently, I save my protest votes for the primaries. When the rubber meets the road, I try to vote for someone who has a chance, even if the main reason I'm voting for them is to vote against their opponent.

Barr Topinka is a nut job.

It was very hard for me to vote Green. I was following the state stuff at the time, and Blago's gross incompetence made it impossible for me to vote for him in good conscience.
