Messing with LJ again
Aug. 20th, 2004 11:33 amThis current layout is called Unearthed, with a color scheme entitled Unveiled Metal.
While the names are neat, I'll be glad when they update the previews to show color schemes so you can filter the list instead of having to convert your LJ to see what the colors actually are. I mean, Unveiled Metal implies hues of a metallic nature, but would you readily guess that Acrid Slide had a lot of lime green in it?
I would like to add some blue to this, and shrink the font size of the main title if possible. Otherwise it will do until I feel the urge to change yet again.
If you notice any viewing issues, let me know. My version of Opera has a sidebar that I can't figure out how to eliminate--add to that the sidebar on my website, and the LJ viewing window gets a little smooshed. Things looked better on the iBook with Safari. I have to say that I'm not altogether crazy about Opera, although I will most likely stick with it in the interest of virus avoidance.

Re: Getting rid of the hotlist in Opera
Date: 2004-08-20 05:44 pm (UTC)Not crazy about the Mail program. Can't find a "Mark All As Read" or a "Delete All Read" setting, which is the fastest way for me to clear out a mailbox. When I try highlighting all the messages and hitting Delete, only the topmost message and responses are deleted. The only way I have found to clean up a mailbox is press the Delete key and keep it depressed, wiping out the messages one by one.
Someone mentioned that they prefer Eudora to Opera Mail, but I don't know if I want to download yet another reader onto this thing.
IOW, not completely happy. I converted the skin from Opera to Windows, so it looks a little more familiar. I will probably stay withit, however, because the holes in IE worry me.
