I didn't expect it at all. Then the one thing that could complicate her relationship with my protag kinda...blew up. Because it is very important to her. In the end, more important than her job.

Since I am not an outliner, I love it when they do that. Otherwise the book (or story) stalls.

Sorta tells us we're no more than paper goddesses.
