I like seeing the coyotes from inside the house or car, not when I'm walking Murphy. Just a thought, is there any significance to the fact that both presidential candidates appear to be left handed? Hope your week is beginning well. I am lonely in the office already.
I am guessing that two lefties as Presidential candidates is probably a first. I doubt McCain would appreciate being called a lefty.
Today and Monday--too many errands that chewed up the morning. The rain didn't help--the dogs were like bored kids. Mommy, feed us! Play with us! Let us outside! Let us inside! They're sleeping now. I have the Blackhawks on mute--they're already down 0-1 to the, hah, Phoenix Coyotes. Maybe that was the omen.
Staying in tomorrow, I think. I'll probably vote on Friday. I wish I had two months off instead of two weeks.
Is everyone traveling? I think we have the quietest office in the company.
People were around, but I just wanted to have you around to IM! Seems like some presidential candidates have hurt feelings. I should be working...my friends are visiting tomorrow and I need a presentation. Procrastination is bad...
Trash is more of an attractant. Seriously. Coyote goes for the easy meal...the dropped chunk of burger, the fries, the fried-chicken bones, potato salad, etc. Kitten or small puppy, maybe. Not something Coyote's size that has pointy teeth. That's a possible ally. The coyote pup someone raised here and thought was tame collected a gang of domestic dogs and taught them to chase livestock for the heck of it. It corrupted a friend's border collie, up the street...granted, it doesn't take much temptation to corrupt a border collie into chasing stock.
The coyote pup came into the horse lot, back when old Ky was alive, and tried to make him run--but met a horse unafraid of dogs and quite willing to chase a coyote. I saw that...Ky chased the coyote across the field and almost caught him.
Anyway...I'll bet this coyote was on the way to check out a dumpster or row of trash cans he/she knew were full of good stuff at this hour, and not well guarded.

Date: 2008-10-16 03:31 am (UTC)Anyway--coyote will find more snacks in the busy part of town than in the woods, most likely. Trash is a great attractant.
