BIG Z!!

Carlos Zambrano pitched a no-hitter tonight against the Astros. Final score: 5-0. The first Cubs no-hitter in 36 years.

Woo hoo!!!!

That's why I watch so many games. You never know when something like that can happen.

:)

I saw the last half-inning. I didn't even know they were on TV--I was watching ESPN, saw the crawl along the bottom that they would be switching to the Cubs game because of the no-hitter. Then I heard Len and Bob, and realized that Ch 9 was showing the game. The TV schedules were all balled up and didn't show that the game was televised.

Ah well, I saw the best part.

I only knew about the WGN broadcast from the Tribune story about the move to Milwaukee for the game.

I'm just glad that we didn't have plans tonight. Now I wish we had driven up to Milwaukee for the discounted game.

Nolan never had one when he was there?

Please don't remind me of the worst trade in baseball history, Jim Fregosi for Nolon Ryan straight up. And Seaver gor his the first or second year after he was traded. In all I think about a dozen Mets pitchers threw no-hitters after they switched teams.

Worse than the Cubs' trade of Lou Brock?

I was a Mets fan back in the day. I remember when all the pitchers left.

Much worse than Lou Brock. Ryan's career was about twice as long as Brock's.

Ryan's career was twice as long as everybody's...except maybe Julio Franco's.
