strange story

A man commits suicide. He's an organ donor, and the man who gets his heart winds up marrying his (the suicide's) widow. Then some time later, he commits suicide himself.


It's the sort of tale an editor might ask you to rethink because it's too pat.

I recall a novel or two, or maybe they were movies, about cellular memory--transplant patients taking on the characteristics and behaviors of their organ donors.

That's bizarre beyond belief. Fortunately (or something), reality doesn't have to be believable. Only fiction carries that onus... :)
