Gutter covers are on both the house and garage. Only took 5 hours.
I did not think it would take that long. The hardest stretch was the rear gutter of the house, because I had to drag the ladder around utility lines and the old TV aerial, then up the two-tier deck. I love that ladder because it's so stable, but the price for that stability is that the *&%$#@ thing is HEAVY. I hope my old rotator cuff injury doesn't act up. Or my back. Ibuprofen has been taken. Sunburned backs of legs have had aloe lotion applied.
The funny thing is that the front gutter, which used to plug once a week and which was the main reason I decided to install the covers, was clean as the proverbial whistle. Haven't had a problem since I unplugged the drain end a couple of weeks ago. Oh well, gutters are ready for the flying leaves of autumn, because the month after next is a -ber month. God help me, I am so not ready for that.
Hit my 1K words yesterday. No words today, but...tripped over an absolutely marvelous research find whilst looking for something else--it ties two aspects of the wip together and better defines exactly what the bad guys are doing and why. So, even though no words, much useful info that will make later writing easier. I'll take it.
It supposed to rain tomorrow, which was one reason why I pushed to get the gutters done today. Need to go into work for a meeting--I know, vacation, but something needs to be seen to--then home to plant myself and work. If it's not raining when I get home, I will weed for one hour...asssuming it doesn't get as hot as they say it will. OTOH, Thursday and Friday are supposed to be in the 70s, so maybe I'll just wait.
A good week so far, but I really need a month.
