Yanno

...you eat chunks of tennis ball, odds are that you're going to hork them back up.

This message brought to you by Monday morning, lots of paper towel, and the letter K.

You know, every time I hear or read these kinds of stories about people's pets, I realize, yet again, why I don't have pets. ;-)

But you're a good pet mommy, and I'm sure King appreciates you. :-)

If only he would show his appreciation by, well, not eating chunks of tennis ball...

Boy, he is just bound and determined to find something to eat and hork up, isn't he. Have you had a talk with him about the dangers of bulimia, and how you love him even if he puts on a bit of weight?

He has gained a few pounds over the last year, but I did tell him that he's still The King.

I am wondering if this is related to his stomach issue, or if it was just one of those things. For the past month, he's been on an OTC nutriceutical called Resources Anxiety & Stress that is supposed to take the edge off--it contains chamomile, gingko, passionflower, and melatonin, along with vitamins and other stuff. Fingers crossed, but it seems to be doing something good. He's on the small dog dose--2 tabs a day instead of 4--on the advice of my vet. The worry spot on his right front leg, which he'd been licking hairless and bloody for almost a year, is healing--King still licks it occasionally, but the skin is almost completely healed and the hair is growing back. He isn't going after dirt anymore (fingers crossed). He did occasionally eat some bizarre stuff prior to his stomach blow-up, like wash cloths. Like I said, I hope this was just one of those things. Vet said they'd likely still happen.
