ksmith: (lightning)

We're currently under a severe thunderstorm warning. I can hear rumbles in the distance. My joints and muscles ache a little, my ears feel strange, and King is restless. We're in for it again, I think, though hopefully things won't prove as fraught as they did last night.

This can stop any time.

Update: I wouldn't let King get on the couch with me, so now he's sitting on my foot. Meanwhile, Mickey is fast asleep.

The big, orange, glowing thing is overhead here. How bad were your storms?

Two episodes of Rain Like Whoa, enough to overwhelm the gutters and cause seepage in the usual areas in the basement. It's still cloudy, and there's coolness in the air-those 90F temps we were supposed to get are nowhere to be felt.

I think the backyard lawn shot up two inches in the last two hours.

Yech. I’m sorry. The Whoa went just north of us.

I’m avoiding our basement. I just don’t want to know.

I hear you about the grass. It looks like I’m mowing tomorrow. :(
