I bought a couple of the collections at Wiscon. Not crazy about the artwork. In a couple of places, I swear they switched artists. The styles look so different.
I haven't read comics since junior high. The old Creepy and Eerie days. Those were pretty good, as I recall. Of course, I was 13...
They are very much okay. Fray is supposed to be really good. The new "series 8" ones, well, after the first couple, I gave up. Although I was inordinately pleased by one particular full-page splash that featured an umm, Buffy "sandwich"....
I'm talking about the first bits of S8. I really didn't like what they did with Dawn.
The splash page looms large in my mind, though...maybe that's why I remember it as a full-page...
Fray came out during the series run, and there is also the Tales of the Slayers(?), which is also supposed to be pretty good, and came out during the series run (I think...)
