...I left Madison at 10:15 or so yesterday morning. I still feel ok. Am I out of the woods?

Update: It's 1:20 on Thursday afternoon, more than 48 hours after I left Madison. I don't feel great, but I blame that on something I had for breakfast. As naomikritzer said, when you get this thing, you know it. I think maybe I dodged this particular bullet.

allochthon got sick today. I'm still holding my breath, but this thing seemed to have a very short incubation period.

My problem is that I get these sympathetic symptoms. When I first heard about it on Saturday, my stomach started to ache and I felt...not so good. As time went on, that went away. I've been feeling it off and on today, but again, I think it's nerves. Fingers crossed--I thought I read somewhere that the incubation period seemed to be 36-48 hours. So, I need to get through tomorrow morning.

I have that same issue and have consoled myself with the assurance from several people that if you get this, you will KNOW very quickly without a doubt that you have it.

Yes, that's the right time frame. Marked from the last exposure. After that two days you should be home free.
Personally, I'd start counting from the time you got off the airplane in your home town. A lot of the afflicted were flying home with the stomach plague still in the contagious stage.
