I wish

I wish that everyone I know could go through life with no health issues. No fear. No scares. No character-building episodes. That all would go well until the very, very end, a final slipping away at a very advanced age, surrounded by family and friends and peace.

Oh, that would be so nice. Except that we would all have the moral development of turnips. I hate it, but I know that we grow through adversity. There should be another way!

I've learned Life Lessons in other ways, though. There has to be an alternative.
