That's what awakens me most every morning. Then King will leave for a few seconds, then return and stick shoe in face again. And again and again and again until I get up. At which point he lays back down and falls asleep, his job done.

I don't feed King in the morning. At that time, he needs me and my opposable thumbs to open the back door so he can go outside. Then it's nap time, because his work for the day is done.
