I like boots. Higher heels are pretty much not an option for me, so I tend toward the less formal styles. I don't know how I wound up on the Sundance mailing list, but they carry stuff I rilly rilly like, at prices I rilly rilly don't want to pay, including lots of cool boots, like these, or more particularly, these. Coveted a pair of harness boots, I did I did, but not for $$$$$$.

So I checked eBay, and found a few possibles. Thought about making a bid on a pair of almost-but-not-quite, then held back and plugged "harness boots" into Google. Found these. Loved the details. Liked the price. Took a chance.

They arrived today, and it's Boot Love. The leather is soft, especially the shaft, and there's just enough hardware. The toe box is roomy, and there's a decent amount of support. The only drawback is that the heel is a little wide/slippy, but tightening the back buckle helped a lot, and the insertion of some heel thingies will take up the rest of the slack. There's room for some insoles, which I usually need.

Happy. Have perfect jeans boots. Happy happy.

Hummana -- oh, I would LOVE that second pair in Brick.

The Brick were sharp. It's a similar color to burgundy, which used to be my fave leather shoe color. There was a time that I always had a pair of burgundy boots. I had a lovely pair of Etienne Aigners that I wore for years, until the soles finally cracked.

Now I like brown.

OMG. Finally, a company making boots that don't have four-inch heels.

If they made the Pathfinders in black, I'd so be there.

They seem to specialize in motorcycle gear, so some stuff is over-decorated. But there are a few things I want to get from them. They took an extra 5% off my purchase after I placed my order. Then in the boot box, I found a card entitling me to 10% off any purchases I make FOR LIFE. So they'll get a little more business from me.

No, I was looking on the Sundance page, with the tall lace-up boots.

A thick pair of socks had taken up the heel slack for now.

They look great with jeans.

Also take a look at http://www.zappos.com . I've gotten some very nice boots there, including my fav boots of all time. I bought a pair of Santana of Canada boots there a few years ago and adore them. I wear them nearly everyday because they are just that good. I've had to have them resoled, I need more boots. :)

I've checked out the site before, but never bought anything. I know folks who swear by Zappo's, though. I must hunt through there sometime.
