The first Amazon review for ENDGAME is up, and I think it's the most thoughtful, interesting, *quiet* take on Jani's storyline that I've ever read.

"What's extraordinary about this book is the way Smith conveys the details of a particular character thinking and acting at a particular place and time: this is me, this is here, this is now. Smith can place a character at a time and a place as well as anyone I've read."

I know, I should ignore reviews. But I needed this one today. Someone got it, then took it places I didn't expect, and that's what it's all about.

Don't ignore reviews, just get your agent and friends to filter them for you.

Yay for the good review BTW!

how very nice.

yes, we should ignore reviews, but I don't think it's at all surprising that the validation that we gotten our vision across is also necessary.

It really was validation. He got the hero's journey part..well, she's sort of a hero...and the fact that at a certain level, what you say *really* matters, and oh, lots of things.

it was just nice to read.

Congrats and the review and what a good idea to get someone else to filter them for you. Writing is hard enough without reading a review by someone who doesn't really know how to write a review...especially now that anyone can write one on amazon.com

Nice review.

I've done my part - lunch was spent running over to Uncle's for my copy.

Some days it's the best part. May they all be good -- or ones you can ignore.

All of the Amazon reviews are good
