Note to self--thoughts thunk while washing dishes should be written down immediately, even if it means stopping and drying hands. They do sell waterproof paper, so even that step could be dispensed with.
I find that it sometimes helps to put myself right back in the situation where I had the thought - re-wash the same dishes, holding the same sponge at the same sink...
Posting links like that is a horrible thing to do to a pen-and-paper addict like me. I swear I have a zillion pens and varieties of nifty paper around... I don't use them much, I just like to, y'know, HAVE them.
Back in the early 80s, I stumbled over some wrapping paper with the name "Kris" spattered all over it, and bought out a store's supply. Because up to that point, Kris-with-a-K was a rare bird--Chris with Ch was still the norm--and I got overexcited.
I feel your pain. :) It's occasionally possible to find things with Catherine-with-a-C, but I have not yet in my life found anything with "Catie", just Katie. I bought the first Catherine-with-a-C thing I ever saw (a coffee mug, which, in fact, I use), and live in hope of a Catie-with-a-C *anything*.
Besides, you *can't* use your Kris-with-a-K wrapping paper, because then you wouldn't have it anymore, and there might not be more to get! I said reasonably. :)
I feel deprived...I have never had a useful writing-related thought in the shower. The shower makes me think of things like "Dang--here I am showering and forgot to do [dirty chore of choice] before I showered" or "OMG I have to be ready to leave in five minutes and I didn't realize it had gotten this late and [turning off water, jumping out to drip] do I even *have* a clean bra?"
For shower inspiration, perhaps leave a cell near the towel rack then do a quick hand dry and leave yourself a memo on the phone. Or one of those small digital recorders if it happens a lot. It's not a great substitute for paper, but it captures the moment.

But I know exactly what you mean ::wry grin::

I wish real dishes could get done the same way.
"I willed them clean!"

Pen.
Waterproof field notebook.
I guess you could keep them in a shower caddy, or hand them from the showerhead with string...

Never used it.
Nevermind.

So I'm afraid it's good for archiving purposes only.
