My editor emailed me to let me know that I received some good coverage in the October issue of Romantic Times, which features sf/f authors. Very happy to hear it. Thanks to Jack Womack, Eos' dandy publicity guy.

I have a book coming out next month. Life having been what it was, I haven't been able to say that for quite some time.

The weather is gorgeous, 60s and windy and sunny. A few of the sugar maples are starting to turn. I've been hearing Canadas fly over the past few mornings. It's getting to be about that time.

King is still shedding like a shedding thing. I got out the shedding rake and gave him another good brushing tonight, since hair that is removed outside is hair that will not remove itself inside.

One funny thing about King is that he doesn't seem to like it when I remove his collar. When I do, he stands even closer than he usually does, and when I hold it out, he puts his head right in it. I blame his fear of being abandoned in a parking lot, which I told him repeatedly would never be an issue if he would stop chewing on the cedar chest and eating the straps of my clogs. This reasoning, however, doesn't seem to make a dent. No adding two and two for this dog. Math is not a talent.

And there was much rejoicing. Yay. :-)

Oh, excellent -- good reviews in the RT is VERY nice, and can parlay into even nicer sales.

As for King -- believe me, lack of math skills isn't limited to dogs.

No ENDGAME review yet, that I know of. It's an interview--me along with a bunch of other sf/f authors.

Not complaining. Nope. saw the Amazon numbers bump.

Sorry -- I've got a cold and I am just not processing things well today. Congrats on the good interview!

Yay for new book! Yours is the only new one coming that I'm planning on buying it, taking it home, grabbing some snacks, sitting on the couch, and not getting up until it's done. Or time to go to work. Or time to watch Heroes. Or sumpin. Yay new book! Image (http://photobucket.com)

Gosh--I hope you like it!

Editor also mentioned that the blog/review copies will be going out in the next day or so. Review nerves...yea.

Chark acted as if he were embarrassed to be naked when he had his collar off. Not nude, naked out in public. Put the collar back on & he put his tail back up & pranced around in a look at me, am I not gorgeous in my newly clipped & groomed self? I have met other dogs who acted the same.
