Good thoughts, please

Got home from the hospital a few hours ago. Mom's been admitted--a CAT scan showed some sort of renal cell cancer that has spread. I don't know the prognosis--there will be meetings with oncologists, so here's hoping something can be done. In the meantime, any and all good thoughts welcome.

I'll try. It's hard, because you think you should be doing something else--looking after yourself seems so selfish.
