In December, the furnace went kaflooey to the tune of $$$. In January, Harrison's battery, to the tune of less $, but still. Caught a break for a couple of months one month a month and a half. Then came March and Kuro's Check Engine light. This month, the Boyz' vet bill, followed by Mickey's Gall Bladder. Tuesday, the air conditioner guy came to PM the A/C. Of course, it needed a part.

I have one crown in my mouth. It's been bothering me for a couple of days. I just made an appointment with my dentist to check it out.

Is it just me, or is there a trend here?

Please don't try so hard to be me. Furnace, no, but oven, disposal, clothes dryer, swamp coolers (plural) and kitchen faucet, yes. Car DOA--transmission. Two cats euthanized, January and April. Crown will be installed in June, I freaked so badly they gave me a (short) reprieve. Waiting now for vet to appear and issue judgment on recurrently lame horse.

It would be much better if you chose someone else to emulate. Really. Like, say, Job?

I am so sorry about the kitties. And I hope the recurrent lameness stops recurring.

I would just like a few months without mechanical breakdowns, emergency room visits, or pet issues. I just want to work in the yard and write some stuff.

DH and I started the winter saying, "Just waiting for the other shoe to drop..." after well problems. As spring approaches, there are five shoes on the floor yet we have only four feet between us. Sigh. Our litany is similar to yours. What's going on? Are we all just at an age?
