The results of Mickey's blood work came back. The liver enzyme that was high last year is even higher now. Last year, antibiotics apparently fixed the problem, but the vet told me that an infection shouldn't return like this.

So sometime this week or next week, it's off to a bigger clinic for an ultrasound. They want to rule out tumors and such.

Poor little guy--he's going to hate this.

I'm not crazy about it, either.

Ouch. Sorry for Mickey and his dogmom, too. My cat had to have an ultrasound last fall, (for quite different symptoms) and they ended up putting him on a prednisone tablet every other day, which seems to be controlling his problems for the moment. Here's hoping your vets can come up with something helpful, too.

Fingers crossed. I Googled for info last year, and I'm not going to do it again. Too much that I don't want to read or think about unless I have no choice.
