My experience is that this is the norm for MySpace, which I'm about to give up on -- not only for that particular annoyance, but that one's the icing...

My Space does seem to be a draw for the freak show. I can't believe some of the things people post.
In lj it's more, I don't know, compartmentalized? I don't really find a lot of the freak show in my lj travels but with My Space the freak show finds you. :-)

I've gotten several "I'm just a junior in business school with this great part time job.." And bands. Lots of bands. Just denied 5 that had been sitting in the queue for a while.
