Any rumors that Miss Snark is actually several agents taking turns posting?

UPDATE: and according to them who should know, Miss Snark is a singleton.

Not that I've heard. Interesting thought, though. I haven't read her enough to have any sense of consistency of voice.

I just wondered because my agent posts a few times a month, if that. She has no time for anything more. Miss Snark has evaluated pitches and everything, and I wonder how one person, even one who can multitask up the wazoo, has time to do all that and do their agent job.

I don't think so. I've kept up with her pretty consistantly for a while, and if it is more than one person, they should be actors, not agents.

The Killer Yapp and George Cloony references, the Gin Pale, and a few other things kind of sell it, because they're handled so consistantly through the course of the blog. Not really what you'd expect from a collaboration. It's been my experience, both as a reader and a writer, that any two authors, no matter how alike in style, always have slightly different takes on almost any point of characterization, and that seems to be missing in the Miss Snark blog.

On the other hand, doesn't she tend to run the Crapometer in December or January? From what I've heard, the publishing world pretty much shuts down between Thanksgiving and New Years. Could be that she's just taking advantage of a natural lull in business.

I'ved wondered occasionally, but I read often enough that her voice seems too consistent, to me, to be more than one person.

No, she's definitely one person.

The real identity of Miss Snark revealed (http://www.vampwriter.com/The%20Trial%20of%20Agent%20B.htm).

Or not :-)
