I did not expect to use the snow shovel again for another 8-9 months or so.

Rain-snow cusp all day, with a burst of snow as the storm pushed through. Power went off at the day job, so we were allowed to go home. Drove through several inches of schluck. Shoveled it out of the driveway and off the sidewalks. Hung parka in bathroom to dry. Had a beer.

Still a little light snow to come.

Not at all fun. But at least you applied a muscle relaxant after the exercise :-)

Here it came as sleet and rain, so driving in to work this morning was a bit tricky but nothing that needed to be shoveled.

It never dropped below freezing overnight, so most of the stuff melted.

My shoulders did not expect this. The muscle relaxant helped, but I think I will need to ingest mor this evening...

Uggg. I thought the same. I put away the snow shovel and my winter coat last week. It was in the 70's for a good span of days a few weeks ago and the general consensus was that winter was over. I was beyond shock this morning when I woke up and found a blanket of the white stuff on the ground and flakes still falling at a good rate. I guess I really shouldn't be surprised, the house being at 7000' near the foot of part of the Rockies and all, but I was. I scared the cat and freaked out the dogs with my screams :)

It slopped up the yard something fierce, which was a shame because things were in pretty decent shape up to that point.
