A very nice review of CODE OF CONDUCT on SF Reviews.

However, I am most certainly not the Kristine Smith who served as Deforest Kelley's caregiver in his last months.

When I first signed the CODE contract back in '98, word went around that I was a Kris Rusch pseudonym.

That's not true, either.

Wait... I thought you were the Earl of Warwick writing under a pseudonym to hide the fact that you (The Earl) are in fact female, and thus really shouldn't have inherited, that you were born in 1511, and that you were subjected to genetic experiments by aliens in 1533, from which you've never quite recovered.

I hate it when I get these things wrong. The strong mental portraits I build of writers based on their work are naught but cottages of cards.

Just to confirm, then... you're the Kristine Smith who writes like someone who knows from lake effect snow and crosswinds in the Loop, right?

The same. And I never met Deforest Kelley, and I was never married to Dean Wesley Smith.
