ksmithJumping the gun a bit, but oh well.
A few weeks/months ago, there was a discussion on my SFFNet group about editing and the fact that sometimes you need to cut things that you really like, but that for some reason or another--plot change, tone change, POV excision--no longer fit within the whole of the work. Someone asked if I would put a few examples of trimmed scenes on my website. I did post one from ENDGAME, but I also thought I'd search through the files to see if anything from the earlier three books had survived the transfer from the Gateway to the iMac.
Well, something did. It will be posted on my website in the next day or two. It's a partial, and even though 6 years have passed, I still like it. I will post a poll over here, and ask readers to vote. If enough people show an interest, I'll finish the tale and post it on my webpage.
