ksmith: (new haircut)
[personal profile] ksmith
I now have a style that is remarkably similar to one I had when I was 10. The difference is that now I have Styling Products (tm), and I know how to use them.

Hair's not brushing my collar anymore. Earrings will show up better.

Next step--Clairol's Natural Instincts in Nutmeg, for that Gothy dark brown unto black look.

It's my natural state. I was in denial for years.

I told my kid I probably would have been a Goth when I was her age except they hadn't been invented yet.

"Mom! You're too *ooooooold* to be emo."

I thwacked her a good 'un for that. ;-)

Excellent!

You're ahead of me -- right now, having long hair and twisting it up works fine.

I did that for a long time, until I saw a photo of myself from a rear angle that convinced me once and for all that I have no clue where long hair is concerned. Not flattering at all.

My Dream Look is Trinity. Short and dark is me.

I wasn't worried about style at that point -- I needed off my neck, at a moment's notice, and I have difficulty with hairdryers -- gripping them and a brush can be painful a lot of mornings. So, trying to make a soft twist.

Then, at a convention, a writer whose style sense I respect came up and told me she loved what I was doing with it. I don't think she would have said it sarcastically, so for now, at least some days, it looks good.

If I get skinny again, perhaps I'll go back to the haircut on my web site. I was pretty snazzy then...

Could you please tell me where you got that little head icon that so many people use. No one seems to remember where they downloaded it from.

The site looks a little different than it did when I used it, but it's the right place.
