More catching up
Feb. 24th, 2007 06:34 pmWe're under Winter Storm/Blizzard Warning! Go Us!
After the shopping and snow shoveling and eating of buttermilk donuts, I hied off and had the biweekly massage. Shoulders are still knotty, though not as bad as they were. When I get tense, that's where it settles, so I may simply have to deal with it.
Then it was home, and lunch, and then to the (home) office to deal with financial stuff, namely two months worth of unreconciled statements. Not bad, really. I think my record book-related fall-behind was about 6 months. Boy, was that fun to figure out.
Anyway, opened Quicken 2004, and received a pop-up that Intuit was going to stop supporting it Pretty Soon Now, and would I like to update to Quicken 2007? They offered a $20 discount, so I figured Why Not? Went to the download page to find that I could also receive a free copy of Encyclopedia Britannica, all half a gig's worth. It's still downloading.
Then I learned that I could download transactions from my bank directly into Quicken. Gave that a try, with about 95% success. For whatever reason, a few transactions didn't transfer, which made reconciling fun. Entered the skipped transactions manually, then balanced the books.
Now to file 2007 records to date. Then, and only then, will I proceed to the 2006 records and start prepping the tax stuff for the accountant. Oy, what a hated chore.
