Winding down
Feb. 17th, 2007 07:49 pmFour more chapters to go. 69 pages. So far, I've added less than 2000 words. That may go up, because the last chapter is only half written. But it's a short chapter, an Epilogue in disguise. I may save it for tomorrow.
I still have a couple of significant scenes to rework. I'll do as much as I can tonight--my eyes feel grainy and I'm stiff and blobby from sitting so much over the past two weeks. But I will get a decent amount of sleep, and finish up tomorrow. Then I get to spend an evening or two wrestling with the formatting--are the names of ships italics or small caps? Should I convert all my (--) to em-dashes? I will be emailing my editor's assistant on Monday with questions.
I will be soooooooo happy to get this book done. Words fail, they really do.
